Cloudy conditions to follow Sunday night rain

Highs will warm into the mid- to upper 80s, with heat indexes once again approaching 100 degrees on Monday, the forecast says.

Saturday, sunny, with a high near 82. There's a chance we're dodging scattered showers late this week into this weekend as a pair of fronts cruise on in, but timing and rainfall total details are fuzzy at best.

There is a slight chance of rain coming in Monday afternoon, increasing into Monday night. Northwest wind 5 to 10 miles per hour becoming light after midnight.

Tuesday morning might bring some more precipitation to the metro area. Temperatures climb back into the normal range Tuesday with a high of near 64 degrees and winds between 11 to 16 miles per hour with gusts up to 23 miles per hour.
