"So much work!" the president tweeted. She had made a number of pointed public criticisms of the pace and scope of the federal relief effort after Hurricane Maria devastated Puerto Rico Sept. 20, wrecking the electricity grid and leaving many of its 3.4 million people desperate for food, water and gasoline.

Several weeks after the September 20 Category 4 storm devastated the USA territory, only 11.7 percent of the island's electricity consumers have power, and 56.8 percent of Puerto Rico Aqueduct and Sewer Authority customers have potable water, according to FEMA's website tracking the federal response to Hurricane Maria.

Crowley Maritime Senior Vice President and General Manager, Logistics and Commercial Services, Frank Larkin reports that the company's trucks have been a valuable resource, standing as one of the first commercial trucking that was able to respond when Hurricane Maria hit. "We were the only logistics provider that had truck power - albeit limited at the time - available as soon as the U.S. Coast Guard reopened the port in San Juan. We don't have time for the political noise", Long told ABC News' "This Week" anchor Martha Raddatz. "The bottom line is we are making progress every day in conjunction with the governor".

During his interview with Mike Huckabee, Trump also criticized Cruz for slamming him - and then talked about the "beautiful, soft towels" that he threw into crowds of Puerto Ricans as if they were footballs.

The Trump administration is brushing off new criticism from the mayor of San Juan over the federal government's recovery effort in hurricane-battered Puerto Rico.
