Jemele Hill Suspended Because She's Black — Verified Twitter

ESPN suspended Jemele Hill for two weeks after the popular "SportsCenter" anchor violated the company's social media policy for a second time, the network announced on Monday.

The Worldwide Leader has suspended Jemele Hill for two weeks.

. She previously acknowledged letting her colleagues and company down with an impulsive Tweet.

"This play always work".

"Change happens when advertisers are impacted", Hill tweeted. "If you feel strongly about JJ's statement, boycott his advertiser", Hill tweeted on Sunday with a link to a tweet featuring several of the Cowboys' advertisers.

The sale is part of a $110 billion defense deal with the kingdom announced back in May, which faced bipartisan backlash. Earlier, Saudi Arabia concluded a deal worth billions of dollars with the USA.

Hill referred to Trump as a "white supremacist" amid a tweet storm that began with criticism of Kid Rock.

She said in statement afterward that she regretted her words "painted ESPN in an unfair light".

There's been a substantial backlash to the backlash, with Hill's supporters saying she described Trump accurately in the original tweetstorm, and should not be reprimanded for having done so. She was not suspended for that tweet, though it did elicit a response from President Trump.
