Tropical Storm Ophelia forms in Atlantic, no immediate threat to land

New Tropical Depression 17 has formed in the eastern Atlantic west of the Azores.

If it follows that script it will make Ophelia the ninth hurricane of 2017 - so far.

Hurricane season runs through the end of the month of November in the Atlantic Ocean, Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean Sea.
