Minnesota Vikings' Sam Bradford aggravates knee injury before first-half exit

Neither man ended up having a happy ending. They've turned the ball over 12 times in five games. He can cut down on hits by getting rid of the ball and cutting back on holding on to make plays. Bradford will be back in action on Monday night.

There is no sense in trotting out Sam Bradford if he is not 100% healthy. We'll get to that momentarily. Penalties bogged down the Bears' offense in the first half, wiping away scoring opportunity after scoring opportunity. Chicago's front seven quietly is allowing just 85.5 yards on the ground per game.

But it wasn't the numbers that impressed us.

"He'll beat you, then be walking back to the huddle, look over and just smile at you". It's a short week to prep considering the Monday night affair.

Nearly immediately, it was clear that Sam Bradford didn't belong in the game Monday night. "Throughout the week we talked, missed it a couple times". The quarterback's pass was almost picked off when the ball was tipped in the air. That led to a switch to Case Keenum, who energized the Minnesota offense and was the catalyst to the triumph.

Bradford completed 5 of 11 passes for 36 yards.

At 40-0 in the final game, Halep won with a clean forehand victor down the line. The boy died several months later and Kyrgios said he would never forget him.

"Gotta get Bradford out for his own safety trust me I know the feeling", Griffin tweeted after the game. Bradford clearly wasn't right and shouldn't have been on the field.

The Vikings outgained the Bears 300-274 and won the takeaway battle 2-0.

Trubisky came out to applause on the game's opening drive, as the Bears received the opening kickoff. Asking for anything more would be unreasonable - until the Bears give him reasonable support.

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Bradford (8) throws during the first half of an NFL football game against the Chicago Bears, Monday, Oct. 9, 2017, in Chicago.

The afformentioned quarterback was the last first round pick to start for the Bears in his rookie season.

It was an ugly game in many respects. It's what he said his biggest goal was as this Bears team starts to find its way out of the fog.

The offensive line was atrocious.

Keenum sparked the Vikings to a pair of touchdown drives in the second half, one a 58-yard TD run by Jerrick McKinnon. The Bears scored their first touchdown on a fake punt pass from O'Donnell to Cunningham, and in the fourth quarter, the Bears dialed up a trick play on a two-point conversion attempt to tie things at 17. Penalties were a problem. "They feel his presence", coach John Fox said.

The strategy paid off as Keenum came off the bench to lead the Vikings to a 20-17 win over the Bears on Monday night. They can not turn Dalvin Cook into a workhorse unless they have the time to actually run the ball.

McKinnon was also effective catching the ball, with six receptions for 51 yards.

Both of these guys had huge contributions in a narrow win. He was pressured, forced out of the pocket and then threw it right at tight end Zach Miller. The game-losing interception to Harrison Smith obviously hurt, but the rookie will learn. Overall, Trubisky didn't have a bad night. This is something that we never saw from Mike Glennon. Trubisky flashed some promise, but the interception illustrated he's bound to make a few big mistakes as he adjusts to playing in the NFL.
