Snapchat Context Cards offer up more information about the Snaps you see

Although Snapchat may still be seen by a lot of people as the app with amusing face filters and not much else, a new feature is coming to the application today that injects a whole lot of contextual data to geotags. It will also factor in more personalized features, like which ride-haling app you use (if you don't have Uber installed, Snapchat will show links to Lyft).

You could already see where your friends are and what they're doing with Snapchat, and now Context Cards provide actionable information right in the app. For a peek at how Context Cards work, check out the video below.

Snapchat will also make it easier to book ride-hailing services such as Uber and Lyft - when you click on directions, for example, you'll be presented with an option to book a vehicle.

Trump suggests cutting NFL's 'massive tax breaks' because of players' anthem protests
After Trump's aforementioned comments, more than 200 NFL players protested during the national anthem on September 24. As of the writing of this article, he said no member of his team's management or coaching staff had contacted him.

Many Snapchat users took to Twitter to express their frustration using the hashtag #snapchatdown over the outage of the photo-sharing app.

Snapchat says that it will be adding more partners and additional information to Context Cards in the future.

You will be able to book a table through the app partnered with Bookatable and hail a ride through the app partnered with Uber. That could include maps, menus, hours of operation and customer reviews and ratings.

In his first year with the Giants, his numbers have diminished, but he remains a distinct threat to any defensive backfield. Beckham had 25 catches for 302 yards and three touchdowns this year, including a 48-yarder in the fourth quarter Sunday.

To do this, Snap has partnered with a number of companies, including Foursquare and TripAdvisor, to surface information about the places where users create Snaps.

The introduction of Snapchat's Context Cards represent the clearest way for brands that manage their online listings to get in front of the image sharing platform's 173 million daily users.

One trillion Snaps are taken in a year, 3 billion a day on average. This was particularly evident in recent weeks as onlookers watched hurricanes and the shooting in Las Vegas unfold in near real-time via Snapchat.
