CNN anchor Anderson Cooper finds it ironic that Counselor to the President Kellyanne Conway is calling a tweet from U.S. Sen.

Trump, who considers himself a master brander for assigning derisive monikers to political opponents, debuted in a Tuesday morning tweet his nickname for the senator from Tennessee: "Liddle' Bob Corker". Bob Corker (R-Tenn.), claiming the onetime Trump ally "was made to sound a fool".

In that interview, which followed a scathing back-and-forth between Trump and Corker earlier in the day, Corker suggested that Trump's actions could prompt World War III and said he does not "know why the president tweets out things that are not true".

In his defense of his colleague, Dent said other lawmakers say things in private they don't say in public. "Someone obviously missed their shift this morning".

One person close to the president, who requested anonymity to give a candid assessment of the situation, said the battle with Corker won't help Trump get a much-needed legislative win. The attack came after a weekend war of words on Twitter.

"We have troops in Afghanistan, in the northwest Pacific and Korea, we have a major problem that could be like World War I, in the South China Sea, in the Persian Gulf, we have American lives at risk every day".

Times reporter Jonathan Martin conducted the interview with Corker, and he penned a reader's bulletin on Tuesday to refute the president's claim the paper made Corker sound like a "fool".

Dent says more of his colleagues in Congress should speak out about their concerns over happenings in the White House.
