Trump Challenges Tillerson To Compare IQ Tests

The real scandal isn't that Trump's secretary of State called him a moron. "I'm, like, a really smart person".

As he signaled that it was time for the press to take their leave, a journalist asked if he remains confident in Tillerson.

The bill would provide economic incentives for companies, Trump said in an interview published on Tuesday, and reward firms that maintain jobs in the United States, and deliver punitive measures against those that move operations offshore.

Still, Trump claimed last week that the report was fabricated.

The lunch comes a week after NBC, CNN and other news outlets reported that Tillerson had referred to the President as a "moron" at the Pentagon this summer.

"Rex Tillerson never threatened to resign".

"The secretary does not use that type of language", State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert said last week.

Mr Tillerson also has publicly complained about the White House blocking him from making key appointments.

The comment underscores the volatility between the two men after multiple reports that their relationship has frayed over the secretary of state's comment.

"I'm not undermining. I think I'm actually strengthening authority", Mr Trump said.

Meanwhile, Brexit Secretary David Davis will travel to Brussels today to kick off the fifth round of Brexit talks. Kristian Jensen said striking a deal "is not rocket science" and within reach "if the political will is there".

Donald Trump insists that the stories about Rex Tillerson insulting his intelligence - despite being heavily sourced - are "fake news".

"I'd be going to work with my dad when I was 5 or 6 years old". Tillerson told reporters last week that he would be giving the president a recommendation on what to do about the Iran nuclear deal.

"The @NBCNews story has just been totally refuted by Sec".

Both Pence and Tillerson have rejected the allegations. "They should issue an apology to AMERICA!" "He made a joke, nothing more than that", Sanders said.

The "mine's bigger than yours" taunt came in response to a question about Mr Tillerson reportedly calling Trump a "moron" at a national security meeting.
