Windows Mobile is 'no longer a focus' for Microsoft

Windows Mobile is 'no longer a focus' for Microsoft

"But building new features/how aren't the focus", Belfiore explained. In these Tweets, he was answering questions that other users had about the devices and what is coming in the future. The mobile OS we don't often hear much about though is Microsoft's Windows 10 Mobile.

Windows 10 Mobile OS is the successor of Windows Phone 8.1 and it was included in Microsoft's plan of unifying all Windows platforms across multiple devices. There will be no new features or hardware.

When asked by a user whether it is "time to leave Windows Mobile platform", Belfiore tweeted back, "Depends who you are". As an individual end-user, I switched platforms for the apps and hardware diversity. "Choose what's best for you".

But no one at Microsoft, not even Bill Gates officially admitted the death of Windows mobile.

The defense is also a fragile component of the team and this is a very winnable but tough task away from home for Sampaoli's men. But a draw or loss will mean they are at the mercy of other results and could slip into fifth place, or miss out altogether.

Belfiore also wrote about how Microsoft tried to get more devs to write apps for its mobile platform, but the low volume of users seemed to discourage companies from investing their resources.

In another Twitter conversation, Joe Belfiore said " We have tried very hard to persuade app developers.

The company will no longer launch new mobile phones or work on any new project related to it.

Observers say Odinga has also not shown keen interest on the campaign trail as he vigorously did ahead of the August 8 polls. Last week, the IEBC told Odinga that they can not meet his demands due to tight timelines and binding legal contracts.

A major shortfall in the life of Windows Mobile has been the lack of apps which compelled users to move away.

It wasn't that the technology itself was bad, but when competing in a marketplace dominated by Android and iOS, there was little chance of standing out, according to Jack Gold, principal analyst at J. Gold Associates. Skype and WhatsApp had also withdrawn their services from phones run on Windows.

Microsoft's recent strategy in the mobile space has focused around bringing its software products to Android and iOS. For a long while, Windows-powered phones have accounted for just a percent or two of all phones sold and developers simply didn't want to write apps for a tiny minority of users.
