Firefighters: Burned woman said 'Eric' set her on fire

After authorities found 19-year-old Jessica Chambers burning alive almost three years ago on a back-road in Courtland, Mississippi, she told them she'd been set on fire by someone named "Eric" or "Derek" - or, at least, that's what it sounded like she said. State prosecutors have said Chambers said something to firefighters when she was found, but they have not revealed her words.

Jessica was found walking near her vehicle just after 8 p.m., Champion said.

Quinton Tellis (29) has been accused of killing Jessica Chambers on December 6 2014.

According to Fox News, Mr Tellis later acknowledged they were together in the evening, saying he met her to sell her marijuana and had sex with her in her vehicle, Champion said.

Chambers' mother, Lisa Chambers, also testified Tuesday and said she talked to her daughter by phone at 6:48 p.m. - a little more than an hour before Jessica was found, the Appeal reports. "Her body was severely burned". She claimed they Chambers and Tellis hugged, but she believed Chambers was afraid to do so.

State gets Real ID grace period from feds
Minnesota and several other states need compliance extensions before the next phase of enforcement begins. Missouri has more time to comply with stricter identification requirements under the Real ID Act .

"She said 'Eric set me on fire,"' Palmer said. With that in mind, he said that jurors would see photos of her esophagus, thus proving this point.

A long-lasting firefighter said Wednesday he had never observed a casualty so severely consumed when he found a youthful MS lady lying on the ground, scarcely ready to talk, in the wake of being purposefully determined to flame.

"I bowed down and I stated, 'Nectar, who did this to you?' And all I heard was Eric", Hailey told the court.

Daniel Cole, the Director of Emergency Operations in the county, wrote a report saying he arrived on the roadside where Chambers' vehicle was ablaze to find her covered in blankets on the ground with first responders.

Champion said Tellis first told investigators he only saw Chambers on the morning of her death. At times tearful, Haley described the teen's condition, the Appeal reports. She didn't know the person's last name.

Spain moves towards activating 'nuclear option' on Catalonia crisis
The crisis has caused deep uncertainty for businesses in one of the wealthiest regions in the eurozone's fourth-largest economy. Spain and Catalonia now enter into the unknown, as Madrid has repeatedly said independence is not up for discussion.

"There appeared to be a zombie coming out of the woods", Jody Morris, a volunteer firefighter, also reportedly testified. "Her hair was completely singed". She said Tellis was buying a pre-paid debit card miles away in Batesville at the time Chambers was burned. Quinton Tellis' DNA was reportedly found on those keys, the prosuction says.

Between 70 to 80 witnesses are expected to be called during the trial.

Tellis faces another murder indictment in Louisiana, where he's accused in the torture death of Meing-Chen Hsiao, a 34-year-old Taiwanese graduate student at the University of Louisiana at Monroe.

If convicted of the Chambers murder, Tellis would spend the rest of his life in prison. No trial date has been set in that case.

Woman finds shark found in swimming pool, throws it back into ocean
Nonetheless, it's fair to say most of us would lack the same level of poise and would, most likely, freak the F out. Mrs Hatheier then calmly threw the shark over the rockwall and into the ocean, while onlookers cheered her on.
