Jerry Jones had a meeting with players and coaches on Wednesday and said his stance on the national anthem was to play the bad guy role to deflect attention from the players.

In the meeting, Jones sought to ensure that players also saw the bigger picture regarding the business side of the situation, including concerns over TV ratings and sponsors, the source said.

According to several reports, players did not discuss what happened in the meeting, with most declining to comment.
