Gators football team goes full reptile with green scaly uniforms

- The Florida Gators will actually look the part when they host Texas A&M on Saturday, but it was the actual alligator lurking in The Swamp that had Twitter talking on Wednesday. "We had a very open conversation around what we could do to elevate Florida and what that would look like expressed as an alternate uniform, of course while staying true to their brand identity and the tremendous tradition they have in Gainesville".

Nike, in a press release, called the new combination for the Gators, "a first-ever tribute to who they are, where they are and how they play ... it really shows what it means to be a Gator". And the vast majority of them didn't like the new look at all.

"They're going to like them when we win in them", linebacker Kylan Johnson said. The player numbers are orange trimmed with blue.

They won't see the jerseys until Saturday.

Here are three more pics from Florida's website.

"Definitely cool because it's different", receiver Josh Hammond said. "All the guys on the team think it's pretty cool making history by wearing something different".
