Red Sox Trade Talks Over Giancarlo Stanton 'Heating Up,' Report Says

Red Sox owner John Henry and president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski confirmed as much last week.

Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports is reporting that the Red Sox are not aggressively pursuing Stanton - at least yet.

"I would not get specific on any player but try to do our due diligence in every regard", said Dombrowski.

The Ninja Turtles Are Coming to Injustice 2
A trailer for Injustice 2 fighter Pack 23 has just been released and it reveals the final three DLC fighters. To be honest, I probably have never been this excited for an Injustice 2 Fighter DLC pack to be released.

The first is whether or not Stanton, who has a full no-trade clause, wants to even play in Boston. Reports indicate that the Marlins will have more in-depth trade talks at the meetings in Orlando.

We know how quickly things can change during the Major League Baseball offseason, but it would make sense for the Red Sox and other teams to consider options outside of a player who is not a free agent and is still owed $295 million over 10 years.

Stanton, 27, has 3 more seasons before he can opt out of his deal with the Marlins, making $77 million in that time.

Cristiano Ronaldo: How many children does he have & what are their names?
Ronaldo took to Instagram to break the news and share a photo of the new happy family, including his eldest son Cristiano Jr . This is the fourth child of the Portuguese superstar, second girl, and he has two boys.

Next week's General Manager Meetings could provide further clarity on just how interested the Red Sox are.

Another NL team looking into Stanton, among other big hitters, is the Cardinals. Other teams could be in the mix as well, or enter the fray later.

Imagine the number of home runs Giancarlo Stanton might hit if he played half his games at Fenway Park.

The Cardinals appear to be the early favorite to acquire Stanton, however. Top among them in the free agent market are J.D. Martinez, Eric Hosmer and Carlos Santana. He has stated only that he would like to be part of a winning team - something he's never experienced in his eight seasons with the Marlins - and doesn't wish to be part of a rebuild, which is expected to occur in Miami with new ownership.
