The high in Billings reached 68 by early afternoon on Thursday, besting the previous record of 65 degrees set on November 23, 1942. The record for this date is 87, set back in 1950. Los Angeles International Airport also broke the 1950 record of 89 degrees by hitting 94 degrees.
