Jaguar XE SV Project 8 is the FASTEST saloon car…in the World

Jaguar XE SV Project 8 is the FASTEST saloon car…in the World

The XE SV Project 8 is powered by Jaguar's 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine (which was also used in the Project 7). It clocked a lap time around the 12.9-mile (20.7 km) circuit of 7 minutes and 21.23 seconds, nearly 11 seconds quicker than the previous sports sedan to hold the record.

Back in June, Jaguar revealed the XE SV Project 8 as a £150,000 halo auto - effectively an XE with the underpinnings of the F-Type SVR - with 592bhp and the promise of extreme performance. The incredible time of 7 minutes and 21.2 seconds is almost 11 seconds quicker than what the previous fastest sedan clocked on the legendary 20.7km German circuit and puts the Project 8 ahead of some of the world's fastest two-door coupes and supercars as well.

Give back on Giving Tuesday
The BBB says less reputable marketers have been known to take advantage of the holidays to make heart-wrenching appeals to donors. Legitimate charities will be happy to get your donation anytime as the needs exist beyond one day.

The specialist JLR SVO department, whose headquarters is based on the site of the old Peugeot factory on the outskirts of Coventry - is going to build 300 of them, for global distribution, in its second production vehicle project after 2014's Jaguar F-Type Project 7. They added that news of the Project 8's 'Ring record will ensure that the "entire production run will be sold out soon". The XE SV is all-wheel drive, rather than being rear-driven like the Project 7, and uses a specially tuned version of its eight-speed ZF automatic gearbox.

To date the V6 turbo-engined XJ220 of the 1990s is still the fastest road-legal Jaguar in a straight line with its 341.7km/h top speed, but its Nurburgring laptime of 7:46 pales against the Project 8's. It is equipped with an adjustable front splitter, a flat underbody, a rear diffuser, an adjustable rear wing and bumper made of carbonfibre. Will the production model be any slower? The headlights have been noticeably moved forward by 14mm to allow for extra cooling and engine work.

Did Frank Ocean just hint at a new album?
But today could be the biggest news of all for Ocean fans, he has shared a note on his Tumblr which alludes to the release of a new album.

And then, on Tuesday night, Jaguar unveiled the new Jaguar XE SV Project 8, a blisteringly fast, 529-hp sports sedan from the company's Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) unit. "Our astonishing Nürburgring Nordschleife record validates the success of such extensive changes".
