In an opinion piece for the New York Times, Bush writes: 'Of course he said it.

"President Trump is now indulging in some revisionist history, reportedly telling allies, including at least one United States senator, that the voice on the tape is not his", he wrote. Lauer, who has been accused of sexual harassment by multiple women, was the anchor who announced that Bush would be leaving the morning show in October of 2016 after the Trump tape leaked.

Bush was recorded laughing along in a 2005 video as Trump - then a newly-wed businessman with no public political ambitions - told how he grabbed women 'by the p****'. Calling Trump's new claims "revisionist history", Bush says that, "This has hit a raw nerve in me".

Alison said: 'He touched me, he curve balled me!' as Ruth encouraged her to chase Meghan Markle next. Harry and Markle greeted people lining the streets in Nottingham on Friday.

"I can only imagine how it has reopened the wounds of the women who came forward with their stories about him, and did not receive enough attention", Bush said. You have my respect and admiration.

The now-fired NBC host attempted to justify his laughter at president's lewd remarks and seeming admission to sexual assault by saying that - as an entertainment reporter - it was his job to get people like Trump to like him in exchange for exclusive interviews. "You are culture warriors at the forefront of necessary change". He is booked to appear on Monday's edition of "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert". "Whatever you want", Bush said in response to Trump's comments about grabbing women. "Grab 'em by the pussy". It also comes in the midst of a renewed focus on the Trump recording, which the president recently said was not authentic.

He did manage to secure a reported $10million severance package from NBC in the wake of the infamous 2005 Access Hollywood tape.

However, some of the recent reports about President Trump denying the tape's authenticity have led to Bush starting to emerge from hiding.

The New York Times reported last week that Trump has told at least one USA senator and other people that he didn't believe the voice on the tape was his - even though he directly confirmed the remarks and apologized for them a month before the presidential election previous year. A member of the production crew also confirmed to Variety that he recalls hearing the audio of the conversation as it was taking place.
