A Winter Storm Will Impact The Area Monday
A quick burst of snow is expected in the mountains Sunday night into Monday morning, according to the National Weather Forecast. The combination of falling snow and a very strong northwest wind will create low visibilities with near blizzard conditions.

Stapp said the suspect, who also had at least one gunshot wound, surrendered after a brief standoff and was taken to a hospital.

The officer was wearing a protective vest and was transported to Central Texas Medical Center but died shortly after police said. It was not immediately known whether the suspect shot himself or was shot by an officer on the scene, Stapp said. They described him as a hard-working and well-liked member of the department and said he leaves behind a wife and four children.

Gov. Greg Abbott issued his condolences to the slain cop's family and promised the shooter will receive "swift justice".
