JEAN GREY's X-MEN: DARK PHOENIX Awakening Explained

"It's about the butterfly effect of this thing happening", said Turner.

Game of Thrones superstar Sophie Turner has bared all for the new cover of Entertainment Weekly, which gives us our first look at X-Men: Dark Phoenix. In fact, Charles Xavier lands on the cover of TIME magazine, and with his newfound inflated ego he starts sending the team on more unsafe missions.

The result is the team's first trip into space where a mission gone awry awakens none other than, you guessed it, The Phoenix Force within Sophie Turner's Jean Grey. EW states that the film takes place in 1992, 10 years after the events of X-Men: Apocalypse.

Early flu season could leave more North Dakotans sick
Children, pregnant women, and those 65 and older are at particular risk, as are those with chronic lung conditions. Winter is in the air and so is flu season, especially in the South. "You will not get the flu from the vaccine".

Entertainment Weekly has an in-depth feature on the upcoming X-Men sequel from director Simon Kinberg, and it confirms that Chastain is playing someone else. "This definitely passes the Bechdel test, and I don't know how many comic-book films can say that". According to EW, Chastain's character is an "otherworldly shapeshifter who manipulates Phoenix for her own agenda". The team will consist of Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence), Beast (Nicholas Hoult), Storm (Alexandra Shipp), Nightcrawler (Kodi Smit-McPhee), and Quicksilver (Evan Peters), with Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) again leading the team. We know Xavier's students will make it into space and inadvertently unleash the Phoenix sleeping within Jean, but newly released photos reveal just how dark and devastating the film will be for the X-Men.

Lamar Johnson of The Next Step has joined the cast in a mystery role and the mutant Dazzler will reportedly play a part in the film.

Lastly, it's important to realize that this will be the X-Men's first film with an intergalactic angle to it.

Dark Phoenix, which is the follow-up to X-Men: Apocalypse, will see Sophie Turner return as a young Jean Grey in a movie that explores the famous Dark Phoenix saga of the X-Men comics.

Now, on a much lighter note, he stopped by to say hello to the cast of X-Men: Dark Phoenix. Though he wrote the screenplay for Last Stand, he did not direct it, so this will be the director's debut in the storyline and it's something that he holds close to his heart.
