Within this, 67% of Republicans approve of the legislation, making them the only demographic along party, race, gender, education or age lines to approve.

A substantial majority of respondents said that the GOP tax bill will benefit large corporations (76 percent) and wealthy Americans (69 percent), while a minority thought it would help the middle class (31 percent) or their families (24 percent).

A new Quinnipiac University Poll suggests that a Democratic wave is building in 2018, as voters overwhelmingly want Democrats in control of Congress. Support is low across all income brackets and economic classes.

A full 61% of respondents felt that the bill "favors the rich at the expense of the middle class".
