Winless Browns fire VP Sashi Brown

At the same time, Haslam announced Jackson will return as head coach in 2018 despite the Browns' being 0-12 this season and 1-27 going back to the start of the 2016 season.

Brown was sacked on Thursday as the team's executive vice president and de facto personnel chief after less than two seasons in Cleveland.

While the Browns did decide to move on from Brown on Thursday, team owner Jimmy Haslam has made it clear that Hue Jackson will remain Cleveland's head coach next season.

With Brown's departure, the franchise will be searching for a general manager for the ninth time since it returned to Cleveland in 1999. Rapoport reports Cleveland has been "privately" vetting general manager candidate over the last few weeks, so it is possible they will move quickly if they have decided Dorsey is their guy.

Winless thus far this season, the Browns own a 1-27 mark under the watch of Brown, who was hired to run the front office on January 3, 2016.

"We worked hard. I am so grateful to the people I worked with throughout my four-plus years with the Browns, particularly the people I worked with the past two years".

Instagram is testing a standalone app for direct messaging
The app is now available today in six countries: Chile, Israel , Italy , Portugal, Turkey, and Uruguay, on both, iOS and Android. As of April 2017, Instagram Direct, still married to the Instagram app, had around 375 million active monthly users.

"I know one thing (Haslam) really, truly wants is collaboration, people working together - not that anybody wasn't", Jackson said.

However, the team's decision to pass up on drafting quarterbacks Carson Wentz and Deshaun Watson in the past two drafts may have hastened Brown's demise and Cleveland has shown little sign of improvement since Brown took over.

While Brown was done in by the team's lack of success, Jackson said that he did not doubt that he'd return despite a 1-27 mark. Needless to say, it will be interesting to find out whether Jackson makes good on his tease of hiring an offensive coordinator next season. He stockpiled draft choices and freed up cap space to help ensure the Browns' future is bright.

Latest Trump travel ban prevents families from reuniting
The national ACLU plans to argue at the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals on Friday that the ban should ultimately be struck down. Monday's order means it can be enforced while challenges to the policy make their way through the legal system.

Brown's firing didn't cause any uproar among Cleveland's players, some of whom have been hardened by the constant turnover. That was a mistake, but mistakes are okay, as long as you learn from them.
