'The Chew' terminates relationship with Mario Batali amid misconduct claims

On Tuesday The New York Times reported that 10 women said Friedman, 56, subjected them to harassing behaviour during their time under his management, such as unwanted groping or demands for sexually explicit photos.

"I wish I could have the day back and do it right", he added, taking "full responsibility" and expressing remorse for his "deplorable actions" and any "pain, humiliation or anguish" they caused.

"P.S.in case you're searching for a holiday-inspired breakfast, these Pizza Dough Cinnamon Rolls are a fan favorite", he wrote. Earlier this week, Batali was sacked from the daytime cooking show The Chew as a result.

Batali initially apologized on Monday after the allegations surfaced in Eater.

"Upon completing its review into the allegations made against Mario Batali, ABC has terminated its relationship with him and he will no longer appear on The Chew", a spokesperson said in a statement, according to Entertainment Weekly. At least three of the women have worked for Batali in some capacity.

One of Batali's four accusers told Eater about an experience with Batali where he allegedly rubbed her breasts with his hands after she'd spilt wine on her shirt. Batali said the incidents described "match up" with his past behavior.

Batali initially confessed and apologized for his inappropriate behavior and announced that he would be stepping away from his restaurant business.
