OnePlus 6 with fingerprint sensor may be unveiled in 2018

OnePlus has recently launched the OnePlus 5T with 18:9-aspect ratio display.

Vivo is expected to be the first to come with the feature and since the manufacturer is under the same parent company with OnePlus, which is BBK Electronics, it could be why the under-display fingerprint sensor is also being brought to the OnePlus 6 and possibly the flagships that will follow.

Apart from revealing the processor, the GizmoChina source, who is claimed to have a past record of unearthing upcoming developments, stated that OnePlus 6 would have an underglass fingerprint sensor - often called under-display fingerprint sensor.

Samsung and Apple were expected to come with the under-display fingerprint sensor for their current flagships, but they are reportedly yet to ideal the tech and it looks like OnePlus will beat them to it. The Oneplus 6 will be unveiled in the month of March next year which may or may not happen at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

More interestingly, the reports say that the OnePlus is planning to manufacture the smartphone with the fingerprint scanner embedded under the screen. The year 2017 has been a huge success for OnePlus. It will debut in mid-March, and will go on sale later that month. The company usually launches a smartphone every six to seven months and this does feel like pretty solid reason to believe the rumours.

At the end of August, we knew the first concept of the OnePlus 6, which features a large screen without frames unlike the OnePlus 5, but it is too early to expect such a drastic change.On the datasheet of the OnePlus 6 is expected mainly a 6-inch screen with QHD resolution. Take all this news with a pinch of salt though, since nothing has been confirmed by the company yet.
