4 powerlifting players killed in road accident in India

Mr. Yadav was taken to the Max Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, in northwest Delhi. The victims were on the Delhi-Panipat highway in a Swift Dzire auto which police believe was being driven at high speed in a drastically reduced visibility due to fog.

The accident took place at around 4 a.m. near Alipur village, close to Delhi's Singhu border with Haryana.

The official said that the driver was speeding despite dense fog in the area.

The injured players include powerlifting world champion Saksham Yadav and another player identified as Bali.

The auto followed through and then hit an electric pole. Yadav's associate Baali has severe head injuries. The impact of the accident was so brutal that the roof of the auto was completely blown off.
