According to a new report, Sony will unveil its 2018 flagships at MWC (Mobile World Congress) that is slated to take place in Barcelona between February 26 to March 1. The Xperia XA2 Ultra and Xperia XA2 are mid-range smartphones and will be powered by Android Oreo 8.0. It's not built into the power button as on some Sony smartphones, but instead resides below the camera on the rear panel. The smaller Xperia XA2 also features just one front-facing camera - the 8-megapixel wide-angle shooter - rather than dual front-facing cameras.

A rep for Sony made it sound like this will be a turning point for the Xperia line and that fingerprint sensors will stop being disabled in the United States from here on out.

The company showed off three new additions to its line-up: the Xperia XA2, the Xperia XA2 Ultra, and the Xperia L2.

The Xperia L2 adopts the same metallic design and rear fingerprint sensor, with a 5.5-inch HD display.

The Xperia A2 is fueled by a 3,300mAh battery, while the Xperia A2 Ultra is powered by a 3,580mAh battery. The Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra will be available in silver, black, blue and gold.

There's only one front-facing snapper though, namely an 8MP f/2.4 wide-angle one. On the front you'll find a 6-inch full HD display, while under the hood is a Snapdragon 630 processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable storage and a 3,580mAh battery with Smart Stamina mode.

BIG FORMAT GAMING DISPLAYS with NVIDIA G-SYNC™ and SHIELD™ BUILT
Presumably this is rolling with the same specs as a standalone NVIDIA Shield Android TV box, which is still the industry leader. Because the streaming platform is based on Android TV , it also includes support for the Google Assistant .

This lower-end device is launching with Android 7.1.1 Nougat with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot for expansion.

Posing as a successor to the Xperia XZs, the XZ1s has the same 5.2-inch LCD display screen with a full HD resolution, however, you get the outgoing Snapdragon 835 SoC on board and even though old, it's an upgrade over the Snapdragon 820 used on the XZs. The VentureBeat report mentions that it will retain the previous 5.2-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display from a year ago, and might ship with Android Nougat. The smartphone will come in Single SIM and Dual SIM variants and the colour options are: Silver, Black, Blue and Pink. The dimensions are 142 x 70 x 9.7 mm and weigh 178 grams of Xperia XA2.

Unlike the Xperia XA2 devices, the Xperia L2 packs less powerful specifications. There's not much information regarding the Xperia L2.
