3 reasons why Bears made the right decision hiring Matt Nagy

The Chicago Bears are the latest team to fill their head coaching vacancy. Nagy will be formally announced at a news conference on Tuesday. The Bears invested a lot in Trubisky when they traded up in the first round to draft him, and the rookie struggled under John Fox this season. The Bears met with Nagy in Kansas City on Sunday. That window of exclusivity expires at midnight when Fangio will be free to meet with or discuss employment with any team. He spent three years as Kansas City's quarterback coach.

-At the end of his time with the Chiefs, Nagy was the team's offensive coordinator and playcaller.

According to Chicago Sun-Times reporter Adam Jahns, Kansas City offensive coordinator Matt Nagy will be named the new head coach of the Chicago Bears. That list includes John Harbaugh, Doug Pederson, Sean McDermott, and Ron Rivera. He is credited with helping revive the Chief's offense after taking over play calling duties from Reid. The move comes one day after Bears General Manager Ryan Pace interviewed Nagy, and two days after Nagy's Kansas City Chiefs offense stalled out in a playoff loss to Tennessee. Nevertheless, the Chiefs finished 6th in the National Football League this year in points scored, averaging just under 26 points per game. Sometimes the plays go off script, and Nagy would adjust.

Before the game, Nagy had been mentioned as a potential head coaching candidate for a number of places and was known as a rising young coaching star.
