New PS4 Beta Incoming, January Console Launch and Future PC Version

[T] he New World is filled with a vast roster of unique monsters for you to hunt and craft gear from.

The highly anticipated Monster Hunter: World will receive a free batch of DLC following its PS4 and Xbox One launch later this month, and we now know one of the monsters included in it. The Monster Hunter franchise started off on the PlayStation 2 in 2004 but then surprisingly became a Nintendo exclusive for many years.

Monster Hunter World marks the return of the series to consoles. From heavy weapons to more precise implements of destruction, World's arsenal looks to take advantage of the game's enhanced engine with by introducing several new ways to take down the game's enormous foes. The plot of the game also seems to revolve around the said Elder Dragons, meaning players should have their hands full once the game gets released. The trailer hints at a migration of Elder Dragons from the old world to the new, which we're assuming is going to pose a threat to the people of Astera, leaving the hunters to try to find some kind of solution, but we'll find out more when the game arrives. With the game getting an day January 26 release for PS4 and Xbox One, we've now got word that a PC version is also in the works. The first major title update is coming in Spring 2018 and includes the addition of the deadly Deviljho.

The excitement surrounding the game's release is understandable since this is the first time a "Monster Hunter" game will be made available on PC. According to Gematsu, the monster is massive in size and will devour anything in its path, even other monsters.
