Razer's New Laptop Uses Their Upcoming Phone To Power It

The idea of using a phone to power a laptop isn't entirely new; Motorola gave it a shot back in 2011 with the Laptop Dock for the Atrix 4G. The phone acts as the 3-pound computer's brain, which is fine because it has a fast Snapdragon 835 processor and 8GB of RAM inside.

Razer has revealed a very odd mix of laptop and mobile phone hardware in a bid to utilize its new Razer Phone.

Project Linda proves interesting for mobile gaming, adding mouse and keyboard control for extra precision. The Razer Chroma™ backlighting is ideal for low-light situations and can also be personalized with millions of color options. Having spent many trade shows with my laptop tethered to my my phone's mobile connection due to shoddy Wi-Fi, I can certainly see the appeal. Once plugged in, the phone's display transfers to the laptop's 4K 120 Mhz touchscreen display, with the smaller screen acting as either a touchpad or a secondary display.

Here's everything that works with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa
Recently, Google added features such as Voice Match, Broadcast and Hands-Free Calling to the Google Assistant for Home devices. Home Max was launched in mid-December at $399 -- so it's clear that it makes up a small portion f those million of sales.

Project Linda also has a 53.6 Wh internal battery that can fully charge the docked Razer phone three times without AC power.

Because it's still a concept, Project Linda doesn't have a release date or a price.

Razer says it could be the "ultimate mobile hybrid setup for gaming, creativity, and productivity".

Egypt Announces Date of Presidential Elections
Egyptian rights and opposition lawyer Khaled Ali announced in November his intention to join the 2018 presidential race. Shafiq was Hosni Mubarak's last prime minister before he was toppled in the 25 January uprising in 2011.

Razer always come to CES with something in their hand and there is no exception for this year's edition as well. More than 4,000 companies compete for accolades at CES, the world's most prestigious tech tradeshow.

As with many of Razer's concepts, there's now no release date for Project Linda.

The triple-headed snake trademark of Razer is one of the most recognized logos in the global gaming and esports communities. The company isn't slowing down as it has unveiled another piece of awesome hardware.

Syria's death toll in Idlib auto bomb rises to at least 25
The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the blast struck the headquarters of a minor rebel faction. Activists say another 15 people were killed in Syrian government and Russian air strikes elsewhere on Sunday.

The physical design of the laptop is similar to the Blade Stealth in that it sports a unibody CNC aluminum chassis.
