Warm air holds on before rain and mixing this weekend

Rain showers will pass through the Valley at times late Thursday into Friday morning. Thursday will be almost 60° warmer than the morning low from this past Sunday! Warm southerly winds bring in moisture throughout the day, which could spark a few showers ahead of our main cold front as we go throughout late Thursday afternoon and the evening. The potential for ice accumulation will increase into Friday night.

Turning much colder through the rest of the weekend. The exact track of this low pressure needs to be watched closely, as it will determine just how quickly the front can pass, winds will shift, and colder air will filter in.

Snow will continue over the day on Saturday, leading to risky travel conditions. Heavier snow of 8 to 12 inches is possible if the storm slips to our south and east, and 2 to 3 inches if it pushes to the north and west.
