Kyrgios wins Brisbane International

Kyrgios wrapped up the first set in 37 minutes despite having to save five break-points.

The serve of Kyrgios proved a particularly potent weapon on Sunday as he sent down 17 aces - including two in succession to finish the match - and dropped only two service points in a one-sided second set.

There was nearly an all-Australian final, but wildcard Alex de Minaur's courageous run ended after a narrow defeat to American Ryan Harrison, who won 4-6 7-6 (7/5) 6-4.

Third seed Kyrgios, 22, did not look comfortable from the outset with his left knee strapped after tweaking it in his second-round win over fellow Australian Matthew Ebden.
