UNC Basketball: Two Tar Heels named to Wooden Award Midseason Top 25

Chosen by a poll of national college basketball experts based on their performances during the first half of the 2017-18 season, the list comprises of 25 student-athletes who are front-runners for the sport's most prestigious honor. Gustafson is now ranked in the top-15 nationally in 10 categories.

The senior guard Berry was one of the players listed in the preseason watch list and has put together a fine season for the Tar Heels.

University of Iowa junior Megan Gustafson has been named to the 2018 John R. Wooden Award Midseason Top 25 list. Young has been named the Big 12 Player of the Week on November 13, Nov. 27, December 18, Dec. 27 and January 1. Young is second overall behind former Oklahoma forward Blake Griffin - he finished with six nods during his time as a Sooner. The leading candidates will be further pared to 20 top players in early February. The announcement was made by ESPNW and the Wooden Award on Thursday.

Landale is arguably the best centre in college basketball right now, and is joined by Seton Hall's Angel Delgado as one of only two centres named on the list.
