RB Leipzig put an end to Keita's early Liverpool move

RB Leipzig put an end to Keita's early Liverpool move

Liverpool has not made an offer to bring Naby Keita's end-of-season transfer forward to January, according to RB Leipzig sporting director Ralf Rangnick.

Naby Keita is reportedly on the verge of being unveiled as a Liverpool player, even though he is not due to sign until the summer.

It looked as if Liverpool had got their wish when the player registered an NK8 company in England but Leipzig have dismissed any suggestion of the player leaving.

Katie Couric Has Called Matt Lauer's Behavior "Completely Unacceptable"
Kotb, who had been on the show since 2008, received encouragement from all her fellow anchors and even Lauer himself. Couric addressed the confusion, explaining that what she had previously said was nothing but a joke!

The Reds have been trying to secure a deal, thought to be worth up to an additional €20m to bring Keita to the club this month rather than waiting until the summer, but it seems as though the Germans are remaining resilient.

Keita, who joined Leipzig from sister club RB Salzburg in 2016, scored his third Bundesliga goal of the season in Saturday's 3-1 win at home over Schalke, but he also earned his fifth yellow card, ruling him out of the side's next league game.

Guinea global Keita is reported to be keen on completing his transfer to Merseyside before the end of this month, although Leipzig want to hold on to him until the end of the season.

Barcelona midfielder Turan loaned to Basaksehir until 2020
Ernesto Valverde replaced Enrique last summer and has not given Turan a single minute of competitive football this season. However, as Barca were under a transfer ban, he was not able to make his debut until January of the following year.

"We won't allow Liverpool to sign him early", Rangnick told reporters.

Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.

Clearly, Liverpool know just how good Keita is and fans are sure to have seen a number of compilations across Twitter and YouTube highlighting that he really is the complete midfield package.

Shelvey and striker Aleksandar Mitrovic are among those players who have been linked with moves away from Tyneside this month, but there have as yet been no offers for any of them.

But manager Ralph Hasenhuttl played down such talk, saying on Thursday: "We do not have a reason to sell Keita any time before the end of the season".
