Cardinals rumored to be focused on Pat Shurmur

The focus of the New York Giants' coaching search has shifted to Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur.

During a two-year stint as the Cleveland Browns head coach, Shurmur amassed a 9-23 overall record.

Shurmur was hired by the Vikings as tight ends coach in 2016 but was promoted to interim offensive coordinator midseason when Norv Turner resigned after a 5-2 start.

Dennis Rodman charged with DUI in California
TMZ reported that Rodman, whose nickname was The Worm, blew over the 0.08 legal alcohol limit during a breathalyzer test. Dennis Rodman , the eccentric former basketball star, was arrested for DUI in Newport Beach, Calif., TMZ is reporting .

Shurmur's work in Minnesota with quarterback Case Keenum has opened the eyes of the Giants and many teams as the journeyman QB has blossomed into an MVP candidate.

Patricia is no longer on the market, as he "is likely" to become the head coach of the Lions, according to an ESPN report Sunday morning.

Shurmur's departure could also have a tremendous impact on what Minnesota decides to do with their upcoming quarterback situation this offseason.

Five reasons Real Madrid have fallen into crisis
The Spanish giants started the season under a flurry of bad results and red cards, and their form hasn't really recovered. Zinedine Zidane's men are already trailing rivals Barcelona by an astonishing 19 points after 18 games this season.

As the Giants prepare to potentially draft Eli Manning's successor, they have tabbed a quarterback guru as their new head coach.

The success of the Vikings allowed Shurmur to get recognized as a legitimate option to lead a team. However, reports say Shurmur is the Giants' top choice to succeed Ben McAdoo, and that Shurmur will accept the position if offered.

Prior to that, Shurmur spent three seasons with the Eagles as offensive coordinator. Shurmur then packed up and went to Minnesota where he is thriving as an offensive coach. However, the move can't happen until the Vikings are finished with their postseason. He later returned to Philadelphia as Chip Kelly's offensive coordinator before landing with the Vikings. Shurmur was at one time considered the front runner for the Arizona Cardinals head coaching job and with Carson Palmer retiring from the NFL, Keenum landing there would be ideal.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger: Alexis Sanchez could go tomorrow
In later press conferences on Friday, neither Guardiola nor Mourinho gave much away over a potential move for the Arsenal man. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has said the future of Alexis Sanchez is likely to be settled within the next couple of days.

Keenum, who bounced around between the Texans and Rams from 2013-16, completed 67.6 percent of his passes for 3,547 yards, 22 touchdowns and seven interceptions in his first season with Shurmur.
