Bardot believes,"There are a lot of actresses who tease producers in order to get roles". And then, so we talk about them, they say they were harassed, ' the actress said during an interview for a French magazine.

Veteran film actress Brigitte Bardot has taken heat for comments about the #MeToo movement, after accusing those who've spoken out against harassment in Hollywood "hypocritical". "Now I give my wisdom and experience to animals", Bardot said when she auctioned her heirlooms.

"In the vast majority of cases they are being hypocritical, ridiculous, uninteresting". This kind of compliment is nice'. "In reality, rather than benefiting them, it harms them".

In an open letter published last week in Le Monde newspaper, Deneuve and 100 or so performers, scholars and other prominent French women said men are being unfairly accused of sexual misconduct and harassment and should be free to hit on women.

"I was never the victim of sexual harassment", she added.

Bardot also has been convicted of multiple racial hatred offenses for comments about Islam and the Muslim community.

However, the actress not only chose to distance herself from the open letter but also apologized after one of the women who signed blamed females for getting raped. "It is to them, and them alone, that I offer my apologies".
