US Vice President Visits Middle East Amid Tensions Over Jerusalem

President Trump blasts Democrats for shutting down the government.

The Palestinian government suspended all contact with the Trump administration after the USA president's December 6 decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital - a move that drew condemnation from across the Arab and Muslim world.

He was set to travel to Jordan later in the day and then continue on to Israel on January 21. The vice president said that "we stand shoulder to shoulder with you and Egypt in fighting against terrorism", and that "our hearts grieve" for the loss of life in recent terrorist attacks against Egyptians.

Brady suits up for practice but yet to throw with injured hand
Jaguars defensive tackle Marcell Dareus said typical methods of rattling a quarterback don't apply when it comes to him. The rest of it was dominated by speculation about a certain 40-year-old quarterback's injured throwing hand.

Egypt and Jordan are the only two Arab countries that have diplomatic ties with Israel.

Pence has been briefed on the government shutdown as he flies across the Atlantic Ocean to the Middle East.

However, informed sources in Cairo and Washington have said that the United States cut aid over military cooperation between Egypt and North Korea.

Duty to talk to native peoples says pope
It remains to be seen whether the friction in Chile was a fluke or a harbinger of what to expect in future papal trips. Tribal elders called on him to help protect them, saying they were being driven from their lands.

I spoke to Cyd Zeigler, author of Fair Play: How LGBT Athletes Are Claiming Their Rightful Place in Sports, who said, "The most important piece of what Adam said about Mike Pence is his willingness to sit down with the vice president for an open conversation".

Pence, a conservative Christian who was one of the driving forces behind the move, and Sisi did not discuss the Jerusalem decision during their public remarks in front of reporters. Pence said he assured el-Sissi that "we're absolutely committed to preserving the status quo with regard to holy sites in Jerusalem, that we have come to no final resolution about boundaries or other issues that will be negotiated".

Mr. Rippon, the poster child for tolerance and diversity, went on to say the vice president and the Trump administration do not represent his personal beliefs. "My perception was that he was encouraged by that message". Trump has made the fight against Islamic State a top priority. When Pence's motorcade arrived at the palace, journalists traveling with the vice president were initially barred from exiting their bus. As Xinhua writes in an article "Spotlight: Pence's Middle East trip unlikely to subdue rising rage over US policy", the upcoming tour is likely to be bumpy and will do little to mollify the rising rage in the region over America's Palestinian policy, according to experts. Mike Pence doesn't stand for anything that I really believe in."Four years ago, President Barack Obama asked several openly-gay athletes to serve on the US delegations to the opening and closing ceremonies in Sochi, including tennis legend Billie Jean King, Olympic figure skating gold medalist Brian Boitano and two-time Olympic hockey medalist Caitlin Cahow".

Can you beat Trump's cognitive test
The test is known as the Montreal Cognitive Assessment and is created to highlight cognitive issues such as Alzheimer's disease. The doc initially said the exam "went exceptionally well", but cautioned there's room for improvement.
