Made by J.J. Abrams, Hulu's up and coming original Castle Rock which is said to become as big as The Handmaid's Tale is an american psychological horror web television series which is based on the stories of Stephen King, intertwining characters and themes from the fictional town of Castle Rock. Children in unusual masks, a killer rushing the camera with a hammer in hand, and finally the character of Ruth Deaver (Sissy Spacek) assuring us that something bad isn't coming. He says he's received a call from Shawshank, and we see a newspaper headline that mentions the warden's suicide - something we actually saw happen at the end of the film adaptation of The Shawshank Redemption, placing this series soon after the events depicted in that movie on the larger timeline.

A psychological-horror series set in the Stephen King multiverse, Castle Rock combines the mythological scale and intimate character storytelling of King's best-loved works, weaving an epic saga of darkness and light, played out on a few square miles of ME woodland.

Well, this week a little bit more information was leaked, as producers shared another teaser trailer for the series that will air during the Super Bowl this weekend. The show plans on connecting the horror worlds of Stephen King into one multiverse. After that, it's a roller coaster of references: Scott Glenn as Alan Pangborn, the sheriff from Needful Things; Bill Skarsgård (It) as a Shawshank inmate; Sissy Spacek (Carrie) facing down a German shepherd that's overstepped its boundaries, like in Gerald's Game (or Cujo).
