Hopefully, this smartphone will do well where the previous devices from the company have failed.

HTC is all set to launch its latest flagship smartphone HTC U12 later this year.

HTC will officially release the HTC U12 sometime this April.

FULL SPECIFICATIONS for HTC's next-gen flagship, the HTC U12, have surfaced online ahead of its likely unveiling in April. The U12's rear camera setup would consist of a 12-megapixel and a 16-megapixel lens. It wasn't explained how the dual cameras will work, but it's likely that the setup is intended for either zoom or portrait modes, as pointed out by Engadget. The front facing camera will be 8 megapixels.

With big stakes on the table and the clock counting down, here's hoping the shears bring good luck. After the raucous laughs died down, she said there could be "nothing further from the truth".

When it comes to software, HTC U12 will apparently launch with Google's Android 8.0 Oreo mobile operating system with the HTC Sense 10 UI and Edge Sense 2.0 squeeze function for an enhanced and modern experience. The device spec sheets claim the device to be powered by the Snapdragon 845 chipset and be paired with 6GB of RAM. It will reportedly have a 5.99-inch HD+ screen display with 720x1440 pixels resolution and an 18.9 aspect ratio and 268ppi pixel density for a sharp display. The leak was further confirmed by VentureBeat contributor Evan Blass, who has a notoriously good track record of leaking smartphone features ahead of their launch.

The phone also has the face unlock feature, and has IP68 certification making it dust resistant and water resistant submerged at depths of up to 1.5 meters for up to half an hour, reports Xda. It would also offer the Face Unlock technology to let users quickly unlock the device. Being a flagship Android phone, you can easily guess what the phone brings to the table, which is as listed below. Last year's U11 impressed a lot of people with its nice design and powerful specs. It will also have 32 GB of built-in storage capacity that can be expanded with the use of its microSD card slot.
