'House of horrors' teen's secret YouTube videos uploaded before escape

This fearless 17-year-old reportedly uploaded multiple videos under an alias that shed some light on what life in the Turpin home was like during the time she was allegedly tortured and starved.

"You blame me for everything, you blame me in every way, you blame me for what they say, what they say", one of the songs went.

The Turpin parents were arrested on January 14 at their home which is located about 113 kilometres east of Los Angeles, after an emaciated teenage girl climbed out of a window of the house and called police.

One video shows the family's two dogs, dirt smeared on the walls, and clothes laying on the floor.

In her Instagram account under an alias, she posted selfies, pictures of animals and photos of singer Justin Bieber, ABC news reported.

The children's parents, David and Louise Turpin could face life in prison if they are found guilty of more than 40 charges against them, including 12 counts each of torture and false imprisonment. Authorities said the Turpin children, who range in age from 2 to 29, have suffered physical and cognitive impairments due to the years of neglect.

Officers had initially thought the 17-year-old girl was about 10-years-old.

One of the Turpin children had a secret YouTube channel.

Both parents are now being held on $12 million bail, respectively, and face up to life in prison if convicted on all charges. David Turpin was also charged with one count of a lewd act on a child under the age of 14 by force, fear or duress. Those who saw the children recalled them as thin, pallid and reserved.

The children were allegedly chained up for months at a time, allowed to shower only twice a year and denied access to a toilet.

Mr Hestrin claimed that the shackling, as well as other punishments - including locking the children in different rooms, depriving them of food and inflicting "frequent beatings and even strangulation" - were used as punishment. The parents, David and Louise Turpin, registered the home as a private school, which is how they kept the children from entering public school.

There have been no reports on the status of the Justice, but Chief Minister Siddaramaiah reached Mallya Hospital to meet Shetty. The BJP slammed the Siddaramaiah-led Congress government in Karnataka for the attack.
