Amazon recalls 260000 chargers after fires, burns reported

The recall will be carried out in cooperation with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and will be focused on six models of Amazon's house-brand power banks sold over a almost three-year period.

You might want to pay attention if you purchased an AmazonBasics power bank over the last couple of years. The power banks, sold between December 2014 and July 2017, have a risk of overheating, which can cause the unit to melt, posing a fire hazard.

After receiving more than 50 reports of overheating, six different version of AmazonBasics portable batteries are being recalled. Those are model numbers B00ZQ4JQAA, B00LRK8JDC, B00LRK8IV0, B00LRK8I7O, B00LRK8EVO and B00LRK8HJ8.
