Carragher suspended by Sky Sports after spitting 'moment of madness'

"Someone like him who is older should be able to take a joke".

The incident happened on Saturday after Carragher left Old Trafford, where the former England global was working for Sky Sports at Manchester United's game against Liverpool.

At that point Carragher, who has wound down his window, spits towards the auto.

"My biggest regret is for the 14-year-old girl to be caught in the middle of it", Carragher said.

"Whether it's about the receptionist or Jamie Carragher, we do not fire people before we've heard them", he added.

Brees, Saints agree to 2-year, $50M deal
Indeed, the Saints' future is seemingly brighter than it's been in years, but Brees' deal was the 600-pound elephant in the room. I think he's the best there is. "I love my team and am excited about the opportunity we will have together", Brees said.

And judging by her latest emotional tweet, seeing Carragher abused in the same way has reminded of her of the ordeal she went through.

Jamie Carragher will miss the next two weeks of Sky Sports coverage after spitting at a 14-year-old girl.

According to the Mirror, Carragher phoned the girl and her father on Sunday night and said: "I just want to apologise and I hope you are OK".

Carragher insisted on Monday that he didn't see the young girl in the passenger seat. I thought, 'Jamie Carragher, he is going to be up for a laugh.' So when he did spit I was taken aback. "No matter what the circumstances, you can not ever behave like that, it is just unacceptable", he told Sky News.

"I'm sorry. I'll apologise again today (Monday) properly", said Carragher. "No excuses he's made a big mistake", stated Neville in a Twitter message. In the past, Carragher has used his platform as an analyst to condemn spitting in football. "This is a bad stain on my character and my career". It came during a Uefa Cup game against Celta Vigo in 1998 and the player in question was a Russian midfielder called Aleksander Mostovoi.

Met Opera Fires Conductor James Levine After Sexual Misconduct Investigation
The Met opened an investigation past year into James Levine , following reports that he abused a teenage boy decades ago. The Metropolitan Opera has fired James Levine after an internal inquiry found "credible evidence" of sexual abuse.

Carragher confirmed that he has not handed in his resignation to Sky and that he will leave the decision up to them as they hold further talks.

"Jamie should have been to Old Trafford for us tomorrow night", TV3's head of sport Peter Norrelund told Danish media.

"I looked at my daughter and she was tearing up".

Murphy believes Carragher - whose own duaghter is of a similar age - when he said he didn't know the girl was in the vehicle, but admits what he did was "despicable" nevertheless. "I've been on TV for 3 years with him and imo (in my opinion) this isolated incident shouldn't stop us working together".
