Browns agree to terms with RB Carlos Hyde

Grabbing Barkley with the first-overall pick would only push Johnson further down the ladder, and bringing on Hyde almost solidifies the claim that they will be addressing another position of need in the draft.

The #Browns are expected to sign former #49ers RB Carlos Hyde, source said. The 49ers visited the Browns back in 2015, but Hyde was put on injured reserve with a foot injury just before the two teams met in Cleveland according to an article by the NFL Network's Dan Hanzus. That would mean Saquon Barkley would not be an option for Cleveland at first and fourth overall. Hyde's last season raked in 240 runs for 938 yards and eight touchdowns. That deal seems to indicate that the Browns are going to make Hyde their primary back for the 2018 season. Forget the fact that Tim Couch is widely considered one of the biggest draft busts in league history, the rest of the Browns' top picks since the turn of the millennium are hardly anything to write home about.
