Why Stephen Hawking never won the Nobel Prize

Diagnosed with motor neurone disease at age 21 the young Brit was not expected to live more than a few years.

Thank you Stephen W. Hawking for your scientific theories which unlocked a universe of possibilities that we will continue to explore.

"He was a huge inspiration to me as a teen when I was in and out of wheelchairs from my illness-seeing him keeping on doing science kept me going".

It goes without saying that Hawking's legacy will continue on for a long, long time, and it's pretty refreshing to be reminded that even the smartest people put in the most challenging circumstances can still have a great sense of humor.
