Spring storm packing heavy snow to affect northern Wisconsin

The chilly, snowy conditions will be courtesy of an upper-level weather pattern - specifically, a southward dip in the jet stream over the Rockies into the central Plains, Midwest and Northeast - which has been in place for much of March. "We will use a blend at this time and watch the models closer for better consensus for Friday night into Saturday".

The Mid-Ohio Valley could see up to an inch of snow. This will impact the morning commute Monday.

In the listed areas, meteorologists said heavy snow, possibly five to seven inches, was expected with the majority of the snow falling between 12 a.m. and sunrise on Monday.

Up to 12.8 inches of snow was reported Saturday morning in near Bruno, Minnesota.

Wednesday: Light snowfall may linger in Lower Michigan as the storm departs.

Parts of the region saw snowfall of a foot or more, the National Weather Service reported. Lower elevations across parts of Montana will also see several inches.
