Airstrikes in Syria "appropriate reaction" - Turkey

Airstrikes in Syria

"The regime has seen that its mounting attacks in recent days against dissidents... will not be left unanswered".

"We spent the night sleepless and followed the operation", Erdogan said at a rally in Istanbul.

"The use of chemical weapons is a violation of worldwide law and a crime against humanity", İbrahim Kalın, Presidential Spokesperson, said in a statement on April 14.

"Whoever the perpetrators they should pay a price".

Montrealers embrace Jersey Day in memory of Humboldt Broncos
Jennifer Myers, York's executive director of athletics, said Cross had been a significant part of York's sports community. On April 12, it's Jersey Day for the Humboldt Broncos.

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said on Friday he had discussed with his US and Russian counterparts potential steps for peace in Syria, after a series of phone calls in recent days.

The Turkish leader told May his country "clearly condemned" the use of chemical weapons since the very beginning, in a call with the British premier, a Turkish presidential source said.

"Turkish and U.S. Chiefs of Staff were in contact upon the order placed by [Recep Tayyip Erdoğan] and Mr. Trump", Bekir Bozdağ, Turkish Deputy Prime Minister, said.

Turkey has been working with Russian Federation and Iran through the so-called Astana process to achieve peace in Syria, but it has rejected direct dialogue with Damascus until now. "The Incirlik base was not used in the attack".

Axios: Comey compared Trump to a 'mob boss' in ABC interview
Bob Corker laughed on Thursday when Business Insider asked him about, and said he respected Comey's public service. The memoir is likely to paint an unflattering portrait of Trump and his interactions with Comey, who he fired almost a year ago.

"We welcome this operation which has eased humanity's conscience in the face of the attack in Douma, largely suspected to have been carried out by the regime", Turkey's statement said.

On April 7, the White Helmets, a civil defense agency, accused the Assad regime of an alleged chemical attack, which it said killed 78 civilians and injured hundreds of others. "The conscience of the worldwide community carries no doubt to that effect", it added. Turkey is a vocal critic of Assad's regime in Damascus and backed rebels fighting for his ouster.

And in recent months, Turkey has worked closely with Russian Federation despite their differences.
