Stewart-Haas Racing's Aric Almirola notched the third-fastest time (128.943 mph), while pole-sitter Kyle Busch (128.934 mph) and Kasey Kahne (128.830 mph) rounded out the top five. He turned a fast lap of 127.487 miles per hour. Busch wasn't a fan of that package when it was used for the Xfinity Series race past year at Indianapolis, but NASCAR was happy with it in general.
