Company Recalls More Than 200 Million Eggs Due to Salmonella Scare

A company has recalled more than 200 million eggs after an outbreak of salmonella was traced to one of its farms in North Carolina.

Among the brands, stores and restaurants listed in the recall, were Great Value, Food Lion and Waffle House.

The eggs were distributed from the farm in Hyde County, North Carolina, and reached consumers in Colorado, Florida, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia through retail stores and restaurants.

The family-owned company's Hyde County, North Carolina farm, where the affected eggs came from, produces 2.3 million eggs every day from 3 million hens.

There would be a full refund for all consumers who have purchased the recalled eggs.
