NBA Playoffs: Portland Trail Blazers vs. New Orleans Pelicans Preview And Prediction

The New Orleans Pelicans stole one inside the Portland Trail Blazers' home court with a Game 1 win, 97-95.

The New Orleans Pelicans (47-34) are in the playoff and the they are looking for a better seeding. Last year, as a member of the eighth-seeded Chicago Bulls, he put the team on his back to win the first two games of their series against the top-seeded Boston Celtics.

The New Orleans Pelicans look to take a 2-0 series lead against the Portland Trailblazers in Game 2 at the Moda Center on Tuesday night. They shot just 40 percent from the field, compared to a ridiculous 59 percent shooting mark for the Pelicans.

McCollum went on to miss his first six shots and went scoreless in the first half for just the second time this season.

Joel Embiid officially listed as out for Game 1 vs. Heat
The Sixers had been cautious this season and initially held him out of the back end of consecutive games on the schedule. The 76ers won eight straight with Embiid in the lineup counting the March 28 game he left due to the injury.

Davis stepped up in Cousins' absence, averaging 30.4 points and 11.8 rebounds.

Rondo picked up where he left off in the 2017 Playoffs and steadied the ship, picking up 17 assists and eight rebounds commanding the floor and being the extension of Head Coach Alvin Gentry, teaching the Pelicans Championship ways along the way. Portland is the three seed but there is not a lot of separation between these teams.

LaMarcus Aldridge, Tony Parker and Dejounte Murray each scored 11 points for the Spurs, who were already playoff bound but went to the locker room after their loss in New Orleans knowing they'd be at best a seventh seed, and that's where they ended up. They allowed just 42.1 points inside per game this season, more than only the 76ers and the Jazz. Holiday, given the primary defensive assignment on Lillard, also found enough energy to score 21 points at the other end. On the night of the 2017-2018 regular-season finale, that opponent could be any one of four teams. They nearly erased a 19 point deficit and even had a chance to take the lead in the final minute.

The Trail Blazers fought their way to a 49-33 regular season record on the back of a 17-7 post All-Star break run. Portland is scoring an average of 105.6 points, ranking them 16th overall. Defensively, the Spurs are yielding 99.6 points per game against the opposing teams. "I take pride in my defense".

Joel Embiid: Will remain out for Game 2
After Game 2 on Monday, the Sixers plan to practice in Philadelphia on Tuesday and travel to Miami on Wednesday. Embiid was a spectator in Game 1 of the first-round series because of a broken orbital bone around his left eye.

Anthony Davis was his usual superstar self, finishing with a game-high 35 points, 14 rebounds and four blocks in 40 minutes of playing time.

In one corner, one of the league's best backcourts in Damian Lillard and C.J. It is not often Lillard shoots 26%, so I definitely anticipate a big bounce back game from the star, plus he has been a solid playoff performer in his career.

Lillard has suffered mixed fortunes in his four games against the Pelicans this season, but his form is trending in the right direction.

Veteran Rajon Rondo, with a championship ring and plenty of playoff pedigree, kept the Pelicans focused and set every time the Blazers threatened to capture the lead.

Henderson wins sixth LPGA Tour title
That left Park two shots behind Henderson going into the seventh, but she fell further behind as she struggled to make birdies. She played the first 11 holes Saturday in 2 under to carve out a three-shot advantage, then faltered again.

If the jerseys are too high in price, you can get the t-shirts that have the players name and number on them.
