Mustang's global popularity fueled Ford's change in NASCAR Cup Series

Mustang's global popularity fueled Ford's change in NASCAR Cup Series

Ford added that "demand remains particularly strong in China, where Mustang was the best- selling sports coupe a year ago". Ford said it sold almost 126,000 Mustang coupes and convertibles in 2017 across 146 different countries. Last year Ford Australia backflipped on its plan to release an official 500kW Roush supercharger kit for the Mustang.

The debut of the Mustang in NASCAR will also coincide with the release of the upcoming Mustang GT500, which we think means there's a solid chance Ford will use that version for the Monster Energy vehicle whole leaving the Xfinity auto as the Mustang GT. "For years, Mustang was unobtainable for customers on most parts of the planet. It could only be found on TV or the internet, and now it rolls down streets from Beijing to Sao Paulo".

The Ford Mustang will replace the Fusion in Nascar's Monster Energy Cup Series in 2019. 'Mustang always has been about affordable performance, which can be traced to innovations we've made competing in racing, like Nascar.

Apple will use its own chips in Macs, replacing Intel
Marshwinds Advisory Co.'s holdings in Intel were worth $4,096,000 at the end of the most recent reporting period. Intel Corporation shares were trading at $48.42 per share on Monday afternoon, down $3.66 (-7.03%).

Both racing outfits are understood to have already undertaken exploratory mechanical and aerodynamic research on the Mustang, which will require significant body modifications to fit over the control Supercars platform. The Mustang will follow in the footsteps of the Thunderbird, Taurus and Fusion as Ford's fourth cup model since 1972. It's been competing in Nascar's Xfinity Series since 2011.

Initial testing of the Mustang stock vehicle is still underway and it will be formally submitted to NASCAR for approval this summer.

We'll leave the last word to Ford legend and Team DJR Penske co-owner Dick Johnson.

Heat end Sixers' streak to tie series at 1-1
After scoring five to end the quarter, the Sixers gave up five straight to start the fourth as Miami went back up by 17. Wade made a halfhearted attempt at reaching out his hand toward a fallen defender before he scooted on his way.

"Could you see me walking down pit lane in anything but a Ford jacket", he told motoring media at the announcement today.

That means Australians will continue to be denied access to Ford Performance-developed Mustang models like the GT350R and upcoming Shelby GT500.

"There is a strong appetite and passion for the Fiesta ST in our line-up, and we can see the affinity and esteem that Australians have with driving enjoyment of the existing model", said Ford Australia CEO, Graeme Whickman. It'll make its official points-race debut at the Daytona 500 on February 17, 2019.
