Iraq Bombs ISIS Targets in Syria

Iraqi F-16 planes crossed right into Syria Thursday in co-ordination with the Syrian military, al-Abadi's office pointed out within a report.

Brigadier General Yahya Rasool said the strikes were carried out with F16 jets, while the prime minister's office said the targets were near the border.

Both governments have been fighting the hardline group, which declared a caliphate on both their territories in 2014 before it was forced back by an global offensive.
