Man Utd Confirm Alex Ferguson Out Of Intensive Care

Manchester United announced yesterday that Ferguson was no longer in intensive care following emergency surgery over the weekend.

"Sir Alex no longer needs intensive care and will continue rehabilitation as an inpatient", United said in a statement.

Former Northern Ireland goalkeeper Roy Carroll has sent his best wishes to Sir Alex Ferguson as he continues to recover from a brain haemorrhage.

'His family have been overwhelmed by the level of support and good wishes but continue to request privacy as this will be vital during this next stage of recovery'.
