Ford could resume F-150 production as early as next week

Ford said it had been dealing with Chinese-owned Meridian to alter creation of those affected parts into additional suppliers until the fire-damaged plant might be repaired and production resumed.

Ford is now working with Meridian to shift production of the affected parts to other suppliers until production can resume at the fire-damaged plant. It triggered smaller production disruptions to other vehicle producers, including General Motors, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Daimler and BMW, the companies stated on Wednesday.
